Our Story

About the founders, Molly and James Shaw:
We met in 2020 and quickly discovered a shared passion for adventure, travel, and the great outdoors. As professional beach volleyball players, our careers have taken us around the globe, allowing us to immerse ourselves in diverse cultures and explore numerous national parks. Our journeys are made even more special by the companionship of our beloved fur babies, who join us in embracing the nomadic lifestyle we cherish.

Inspired by our experiences and a desire to channel our creativity, we founded Upper Left Supply Co. in 2025. This venture allows us to craft products that reflect the beauty and spirit of our explored places. Each item is designed and crafted with intention, inspiring others to pursue their passions and connect with the world around them.

Beyond creating quality products, we are committed to making a positive impact. A portion of the profits from every sale is dedicated to supporting non-profits and environmentally conscious initiatives that align with our values. Through Upper Left, we strive to give back to the communities and environments that have inspired us, ensuring our journey contributes to the greater good — making it look good, too.
